With 15+ years experience in Commercial Real Estate, Alex is the Founder and Managing Broker of The Alexander Group. He advises clients on Triple Net (NNN) Lease Retail Acquisitions, Buyer/Tenant Representation, Landlord Sales/Leasing, and Portfolio Repositioning.
His experience with various asset classes, including multifamily properties, has enabled him to effectively market apartment buildings for sale, guide clients through the 1031 exchange process, and assist in transitioning clients' portfolios away from management-intensive under-performing properties, into stable triple-net leased investments with little to no landlord responsibilities.
Alex began his real estate career at Coldwell Banker Commercial, representing landlords by marketing commercial retail centers and multi-family apartment buildings. From there he was recruited to join Jeffrey Dake & Associates, dividing his time between landlord and tenant representation, primarily in retail lease transactions. Later he joined KW Commercial, where he focused on acquisitions and portfolio repositioning.
Alex earned an MBA from Mississippi State University and is a graduate of CSU, Los Angeles, where he majored in Computer Information Systems. He completed the Ross Real Estate Program at the University of Southern California, and has achieved the designation of CLS (Certified Leasing Specialist) from the International Council of Shopping Centers. Additionally he completed the Harvard Business School Executive Education - Real Estate Management Program, and has achieved the designation of CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member).
